Structure your day. The problem a lot of homebased business owners have is that they no longer have a boss standing over them making sure they get their work done, or a tangible start and end of each workday. It's easy to let time slip by as you head to the refrigerator, catch a few minutes of TV, or dive into a project first thing in the morning, neglecting the other tasks you need to perform to keep your business running smoothly.

All great ideas! Not sure if you left multi-level marketing off on purpose, but I’ve recently started taking a nutritional supplement called Thrive, and due to the amazing results (tons of energy, great sleep, calming of aches and pains, etc.) I’ve started working as a promoter. There is absolutely no requirement to pay anything to sign up, you don’t even have to stock the product, it is a cloud-based business where the customers order online and receive the product directly from the company. If you get two people to sign up with autoship, you get your product free. Even if you pay for the product it is only about $5 a day, less than a cup of coffee in the U.S. So far I’ve been really impressed.


I could go on and on in this post with more tips about the success of your online business but what you should keep in mind is that the internet is constantly changing at unimaginable speeds and you have to keep up with it. 5) Personal fulfillment – Running your own business online can be a very rewarding and gratifying experience. No matter how big or how small your idea is, by doing something you’re passionate about, your journey to success can be much easier and fulfilling. Hi, I really enjoyed this article. I think everyone has a skill they can market like being a VA, writing, web design etc for some extra cash. I think the main thing to consider when starting a business is if you can run the business with your day job. It’s great if you can build a service based business to work from home but it takes time to build these business to replace a wage – it took me three years. Great post!

Work on your business, not in your business. “There’s a big difference between working in your business and working on your business,” says Jeannel King, a visual facilitator and coach, and founder of her own home-based business, Big Picture Solutions. “A home-based business typically translates into being a small operation of one: you! #5 resonated the most for me. A few months ago, after being discharged from ICU, I decided that I really wanted to pursue my dream of being an entrepreneur, and decided to follow Pat Flynn’s advice (well most of it) and start my own niche site, choosing to creat a niche site for Pharmacy Technician training information for Canadians since I was a Pharmacy Technician for 5 years prior…Until I realized I hated the idea of writing to convince others to be Pharmacy Techs when I personally hated being a pharmacy tech! I found myself hating writing for the site, and drudged in doing the painstaking research to at least create a great information website. At least it was just $70 I spent on hosting from Bluehost, because I don’t think it will even generate any money (even with AdSense implemented)
I have owned several Internet business’ and the one thing that I have learned that I tell people is start out small and work to big. Give yourself time to grow, see what works, and build some cash flow. I was so excited and had so many “big” ideas when I started my last business that I flew out the gates with guns blazing. This cost me time and money that I didn’t really have yet.
